Deanna at Ginger & Maude is a longtime client and even longer-time friend. She started the first Ginger location with two chairs in 2008 to show the world that it was possible to create a real, sustainable career path for stylists and still be a thriving, values-driven business. Five locations and a franchise later, Ginger was the first certified B-Corp salon in the world and Deanna was flown to Budapest to receive the 2024 Kevin.Murphy International ICON Award, for her work improving the environment, people’s lives, & the community around her.

We’ve teamed up on brand voice and guidelines, copywriting, print, packaging, collateral, and apparel, and somewhere in between all of that, she had time to be my maid of honor and give me the best wedding hair in history.
